The Top 10 Benefits Of Choosing Our Stainless Steel Motor

1) Washdown Duty IP65
With stainless motors, it's pretty much all about the washdown. Although, there are other corrosion and caustic envorinments where they fit the bill. These motors are designed to keep you clean, dry, and always ready to go.

2) Round, Welded and Sealed Terminal Box
Far superior to the square terminal boxes offered by most competitors. The round construction eliminates crevices and worn edge seals, for more efficient and reliable washdown. Sealed terminals and an o-ring in the cover assure a water tight electrical connection.

3) Laser Etched Motor Data
There is no riveted name plate to rust, fall off, or allow bacteria to accumulate behind. The motor data is clear, concise, and permanent. This provides a smoother surface for more effective cleaning.

4) Totally Enclosed, Fan Cooled
In continuous duty applications, motors can get hot. To keep them cool, fan cooling is the way to go. Other manufacturers don't offer standard fan cooling in their fractional HP motors. We offer fan cooling in all our sizes.

5) Inverter Duty
A lot of process equipment needs to be versatile. That means variable speeds for variable jobs. These motors have upgraded windings and insulation to handle the ups and downs of your process.

6) Internally Locked Bearings
Unlike most other designs, our rotor stays put! An internal locking system takes up endbell clearance to maintain internal bearing and rotor shaft position. This is critical for many pump applications and reduces seal wear by eliminating axial shaft movement.

7) T-Drains Included
T-Drains are angular fixtures that let condensation out, but not water spray in. And they are hidden under the fan cover for even more protection. This is an important safety feature for motors mounted horizontally or with the shaft pointing up.

8) Drilled and Tapped Drains
While these motors can be completely enclosed against water spray intrusion, internal condensation is always a possibility. 4 tapped drain holes and plugs are placed at 90 degrees so the perodic draining of condensation is possible when necessary.

9) Double Lipped Seals
To keep water and product from entering the motor, we use double lip seals at both the motor shaft, and the cooling fan shaft. This is an added level of protection not offered on every competitor's motors.

10) Foot Mount Option
While typically available with NEMA flanges (or optional IEC flanges in quantity) for mounting to our series of washdown speed reducers, models with welded stainless steel foot plates are also available for direct motor drive requirements.
